Hey everyone. I am planning a large plywood build. My dimensions will roughly be 120"L x 48"W x 36"H. The front windows will be around 48"L x 32"H. 2 of them. The tank will be around 36" tall but 4 to 6 inches at bottom won't have glass. I found a great deal on acrylic. The panels are 3/4" thick. Is that enough for what I'm building? What is ideal thickness of acrylic vs glass?

3/4” acrylic will be plenty strong at 48”x32”… im not very versed in regular glass so no comment there lol… i was going to recommend 3/4” for the 36” height before i read to the bottom of ur comment so IMO ur on track in the right direction 🤙💀. Cutting the panels in 2 like ur doing makes the acrylic much stronger. You won’t see much bowing this way opposed to the same 3/4” at 36” for say an 8’ width/span.
