Alright so here is whats happening. my buddy wolfy use to live in a 29 gallon alway active always ready to go. after about 6 months or so he was out growing his tank so i decided to move him into my 75 gallon tank..
every since i did that he has been super shy always hiding and always trying to run away when he see me! i mean to the point where he rams himself into all corners of the tanks. its been about a month now since he was place in the new tank. just to see if he was healthy i did put another wolf in with him a smaller one of course and he comes out and shows off and makes sure that the other one knows that its his terf..
other then that he just spends his day in his clay pot just looking out..doing nothing.
i just recently added a black arowana sincec the tank looks so blah with him hiding all the time.

would any one know what could be the issue. i got a water test kit and everything is perfect.
i got the uv blaster, canister filter, hang over emperor filter, 2 heaters water temp was 78 turn it up to 82..range of water is about 80 degrees.

im pretty bumm that my wolf is acting so strange.. over all i think he is healthy.

I recommend to have a budget for the black arowana in the near future. why? in months it will outrgow the tank you do have, well for the wolf, they're known to be shy and skittish. I don't know how to make them outgoing, let the experts chime in. Maybe dithers? or add more wolves?

Your tank is a bit bright. Dont they like it more shady? Dim lighting.

It's uncomfortable cause the move the one thing I learned with wolves it's hard to get them accustom to new tanks. I had this problem with my common wolf it did great for a few days in a 29 qt and ended up jumping out of 75 I put him in after.

i dimmed down the light alot since that picture. what i plan to do is probably put a back ground on the tank and maybe get some plastic floating plants so that the shaded is consistanly moving around.
thanks guys more info would be great! keep the ideas coming.

also try visiting the tank less often or moving in front of it often. a big thumping thing in front of tha tank is bound to make the fish nervous, maybe try to only visit the tank during feeding time and if you want to watch the tank just sit down in front of it. Might make the wolf less skittish

also is the 120 a growout? It's not big enough for an adult arowana of any species

x2 looks a bit bright...Is the tank in a high traffic area? Subdue the lighting and give him a little more time to get adjusted.
