Glass block indoor pond??? Can it work?

I've seen ponds using cinder blocks, could you make one wall out of glass blocks for a viewing wall? They have clear ones. What's your input
 
The wall glass bricks are hollow and 2 separate pieces molded together at the last minute.
The floor glass bricks tend to be one piece, they may also be hollow, but with thicker sides.
I don't think they could hold up to any real outward pressures. Would be easier and safer to just use a sheet of glass or acrylic

Interesting thought, but I agree. I doubt that a wall of hollow glass bricks would withstand much pressure given any reasonable depth.
 
Even if it did work, do you realize what it would cost to build? The blocks would run around $16 / sq. ft. plus the cost of sealant.
