i dont think anything will be wrong with it but i wanted to make sure. I didnt know if certain glass would be bad. They bottle would be either a glass coke bottle or a captain morgans private stock bottle. probably the captains as it looks awesome. i just wanted to make sure this wouldnt be bad before i did it.

I have always thought that a tank with plain sand on the bottom, with glass jars piled throughout (some possibly with different colored substrate) would be attractive and unique.
Depends on what you are doing. Many aquariums feature fish that are anything *but* natural, let alone layout. Decoration is a matter of personal opinion -- why else would all those hokey 'bubblers' like the drinking skeleton, etc be so popular?
i want to make one that looks like a pond man had intruded apon. i might set it up tomorrow, will have pics if i do
