just re-silicone a new piece back.

That's pretty much it...

It is important for you to figure out / understand why the center brace broke. If the tank wasn't sigging flat or something like that, you'll need to address that as well as replace the glass. But it is possible the silicone connection partially broke allowing unequal pressures.

Once that part is cleared up, it is as simple as having a piece of glass (not Plexiglas) cut to fit (exact) and siliconing it back in place.

The tank will need to be completely empty of water to ensure that the front/rear panes of glass are not bowed when the replacement glass is measured as well as installed.

same thing happened to me on a tank I purchased from someone off craigslist. I ended up biting the bullet and bought a new tank I could trust... ;)

thanks for all the advice i really appreciate it. i think i will try and fix it first it shouldn't cost to much to get another piece of glass and i think i all ready have silicone

My bro had his center brace pop out of the silicon, just cleaned it up and resealed it, and put a huge clamp across the top to be sure. its been over a year with o problems
