A question was raised in another thread about the glass center brace on my 125 gallon tank. Is a glace brace a bad thing? Just curious.:irked:

not at all....in fact I perfur euro braced tanks to non-braced or rimless tanks. Less chance of flexing and that increases the strength of the longest pannels on the aquarium.

The tank is unbelievably heavy and I'm not a light weight. The trim around the tank is not a synthetic or plastic...its some sort of wood stained a mahogany finished with some apparent notching.

I've seen those tanks....very well crafted and a nice pick up if the woods in great shape....I've seen a select few with teak wood frames....

The trim is in fantastic shape. Like I stated in my other thread...I picked it up for 200.00. I have got to get a stand built for it...

The glass braces are fine.Sounds like an interestin custom tank, lets see it!

There are pictures on a different thread in the Photo Lounge. My main question here was about the brace. I don't think it is a custom tank.
