Glass filter and new UV

Hello i recently bought the filter called Bio Glass Filter. Ken ( kendragon ) the one that hook me up and help me with the setup. I'm very happy happy with the out come. The filter have been running for about three weeks and now my tank water is crystal clear. Also I notice that my kelberi are more gold than ever . No more cleaning the filter pad or socks.

is this like a sand filter? how much was it, do you need additional filteration? how big is your tank?

It backwashes like a sand filter but doesn't require a big pump or have the clogging back pressure. The 1/15hp Wave pump put out 3000gph through it which pulls a lot of particles into the media. This is a mechanical and biological so no additional filter is needed.
