Glass for tanks

Can you use sliding glass doors for building a tank? I mean if it's thick enough for its height?
I would take it apart and use only the glass maybe use angle iron for framing

Can't cut it, it's tempered glass.
So you would be building to the preformed glass size
that said as long as you do the math you can use any glass you like.

I've thought about building a biotope with it and only having like 8 inches of water in the bottom.
For a water dragon or a jesus dragon. but then I don't have anywhere to enjoy it. So I've never done it.

The big issue I see is that any new sliding glass door will be made from tempered glass. When I say new I mean anything from the last 25 years or so, could be longer. Tempered glass can't be cut.

First find out if its tempered glass for sure, do a youtube search on how to tell tempered glass and then go from there.
