what are your feeling on these weird looking fish? i picked two up today and really like them, but was wondering what some of your experience with them are and how you cared for yours. im not worried on the care part, im just curious on how you cared for yours when/if you have one.

I had a few while back. They ate flakes like the rest of the fish in the tank. They were a bit shy though, and slowly, one by one, they began to vanish.... but that was before I started collecting the more exotic things.

i like them, but i was wondering what your opinions were on them, mine don't seem to be that skiddish, but that doesn't mean anything
they are a beautiful fish, best kept with several other glass cats
A disturbing fact: soemtimes u can find Glass Cats, and another clear bodied fish, the Indian glassy fish, in pet sores under the name painted glassfish, they inject colored dyes in their backs and bellies to make them more appealing, they usually die within a few days or weeks

they only had two when i bought them, i am waiting for another shipment of them. and yup these glass cats are clear, no artificial coloring.
You need around 6+ or they will slowly die like stated above from being afraid of eating. They also need lots of hiding spots.
i started with 3 about 3 years ago . 2 of them were gone within a couple months . the one that is left hides in a big plastic plant except for feeding time .
I had a group of them before. Very peaceful Cats. I liked them. They're pretty skittish if there's not enough of them. So I would recommend getting a big group, plus they look really nice in a big group. They are pretty docile as well. So any super crazy active fish might be a bother to them.
i love them, but they didn't have anymore when i bought them, so im waiting for them to get more, plus they are already eating flakes and hanging out behind the ruin stucture i have in there.
