Glass Lid

I have a 15 gal aqueon tank that comes with the stardard droll black plastic top. Im thinking of putting in a glass lid with two hinges on the front third of it. Something simple. Any other ideas on how I could create a cool lid? Im totally open to ideas. Keep in mind that this is for a planted tank, so something that allows the maximum amount of light in is what Im looking for.

go to home depot and buy a sheet of glass and cut it to size and dont forget to leave some room for filters, wires, & etc.
i made my glass lids this way

Yh thats what I was thinking of doing. Either that or some wire mesh. But the glass is probably more attractive.
