this one goes out to all the people with glass lids on their tanks.

ive got them on my 150, and im just wondering how everyone on here (with hard water) keeps them clean? what products or homemade stuff do you use?

I poor a little white vinegar on them and let it soak for a while then scrub them good.Usually takes every bit of the hard water deposits off.Make sure and rinse the vinegar off really well.

Hey Josh,

I got the same tank, same lids. I simply wipe them down with paper towels during water changes and they tend to stay pretty clean. Any build up that does happen cleans up easily with a razor blade.

I ummm, dropped one recently though :screwy:

Trust me, they clean up a lot better than they bounce!

i use to wipe them off when i did water changes but the hard water has put on a nice film over the couple years ive had it running. i might have to let it sit in white vinegar and scrub/scrape them...

+1 for white vinegar and water mix. If they need more intense cleaning you can soak them in straight vinegar and then scrub.
