does anyone one know of a scratch remover that would be ok for aquariums? i just got my 75gal all glass aquarium back. my brother used the tank for 3 years. to my suprize he scratched the front glass in multible places about 5" from botom :irked:. i realy dont want to put that much substrait in the tank to hide the scratches.

no,if the scratches are big and deep there is no way to get rod of them

I've heard some people say that using a little bit of concentrated hydrochloric acid on the area will help remove them, but i've never tried it myself. If you try it, make sure to keep a lot of water at hand to remove any excess HCl!

yeah, i dont realy want to play with acid.

ive found glass scratch remover products online. they mostly advertize for headlight lenses and windsheild scratch ect. im just not shure if it would be safe for the fish. im just curious if anyone has used any before.

I work in the glass industry and the only real way that I know of to get rid of scratches in glass is to buff them out. I have a few scratches in my tank towards the bottom from crushed coral getting in between the glass and the magfloat but I cant even see them from the normal angles, I have to look at them straight on while crouching to even see them.

if you can feel the scratch with your nail, its not coming out. you might as well get a new tank or learn to live with it!
