hi all

Wondering what size glass I should be using for my new tank build (hoping to start in the next 2 weeks) the tank will be 3700mm long 1500mm wide 1800mm tall. I have seen a similar tank in here using 3/4 inch acrylic but going with glass I was thinking 1 inch treated glass. The window will be slightly smaller than the tank but I would rather go on larger dimensions because overengineered is underrated

TIA

If treated glass means tempered glass - I'd avoid it. In case of small scratch - without tempered glass you'll have some time to at least drain the water. With tempered glass it will be huge splash into small glass pieces and a tsunami instantly.

ok with that in mind then I am guessing with normal glass it would be 2 inch?

I am having so much trouble getting answers on this... I didn’t realise how hard this was going to be everything seems to be simple until it comes to either glass or acrylic and what size I should use
