My 12" pleco, "Buster" just lived up to his name. I skewered his dinner (1/2 cucumber sliced lenghwise) and slid it into his tank. He was busying himself sucking on a plastic plant when the skewer tip touched his backside and startled him.
He SMACKED the glass in a panic thrust and smashed the tank thermometer to pieces. It was such a loud hit that my wife heard it from another room and asked what that loud noise was. At first I feared he might have cracked the tank because he hit so hard.
Buster, is of course unfazed by the hit. He promptly found his food and settled into his nightly rasping rapture. I inspected carefully to see if he dented his head or something, but not even a scratch. These guys are so tough!
