type of glass (cheap please)

Thank you very much:screwy:

Check out the DIY section - I think there are a number of very specific articles and threads there - e.g. glass thickness calculator - that will help.

Don't you need more depth for the aros? Like 3 feet or so, since they will get so big eventually?

i think 24 is too small to go with 30" since aros are flexiable you don't need that much but the wider the better imo :) glass thickness i would go with 1/2 also i also wondering about bracing a glass tank since i've never seen a brace for sale for that size :)

no it isn't cheap for this size tank anywhere from 900-1200$ if you build 500-600$ you save some cash its a lo less to build its worth it too imo never built one though :)

using 3/8 normal glass , is aroud $200.00 dollars

i think the depth is ok since they are always at the surface, im thinking about going 30 inch thick but since im using the dinning room for it my wife might not like the idea of taking that much space , ill probably stick with 84x24x24

i already got the aluminum for the frames and got the machine to weld the parts together , all i need is thw glueing prosses and wish is the best silicon out there
