glass tank crack

hi

i have a crack in my glass at the front , how would i repair , would bathroom sealer work ? i just want to fix so i can use it ,

the tank was my muns goldfish tank , but it leaking so, i swap it for one of my platic tanks , did it today.

please help

What size tank? Where is the crack at exactly? How long is the crack?
 
Yeah if it's less than 30gal get a new tank off craigslist for $30. If it's bigger, I wouldn't risk filling it without a replacement panel. Just sealing the crack is only part of the problem - that glass is no longer a strong as it needs to be.
 
it about 10 gal, the crack is in the coner , it about 5cm long, it be like it for years , my mum used to just put the gravel in the coner and that work but after a lot of year it start leaking.
 
Well unless you're really attached to the tank, I'd say you can pick another 10gal up for next to nothing. The silicone to re-seal it would cost more than a new non-cracked tank.
 
yea probaly i just thought it a free tank i could fix and see how much silcone would cost first (i will look now)
