glass tank... scratched?

You can remove scratches from glass but the kit is expensive and it can be tricky....if you get to overzealous with the compound you can break the glass, but not from why you may think....heat. Heating and rapid cooling.
The compound is Cerium Oxide and you apply it with a felt polishing wheel similar to what jewlers use. The heat can be dissipated by flushing the area with water during buffing...Ive seen it done and it isnt all that complicated. Just like anything else just plan it out and do your homework. If its a big tank then it may be worth it, however, the kits Ive seen may make it more cost effective to buy a new tank or replace the pane...again, depends on how committed you are and how big the tank is. If it were my 220, hell yeah I'd polish the scratch.
