glass thickness and stress

i took a look at my tank's glass thickness
its a 33 gallon tank (36W 12L 18H) the glass thickness measured .2"/1. I was wondering if that thickness is safe enough?

Also does HOB filters that are rated for bigger tanks stress smaller tanks, because i have a HOT Magnum on it

Usually on 3 ft tank you don't have too much to worry about as long as the tank is leveled on the floor. How old is your tank? Who is the maker of it? If it's made by AGA or a well known brand then you should have nothing to worry about. You're more likely to have a leaky seal than a tank to bust out like that thread. I used to run two HOB filter on a 36" tank for 3 years without any problems. It's a risk we all take when setting up a tank and all we can do is minimize our risks by setting it up right. If you have flood insurance then no worries. Sit back and have a beer or glass of wine while watching your fish.

it's only 18" high, so you should be alright.

if your tank was produced by any of the major manufacturers of aquariums, then it would've been standarized.

and no, your filter doesn't stress your tank.
