I'm going to build an aquarium with the dimensions of 84'' L ,30'' W , 34'' H (water column height is 32'')
my glass thickness is 15mm all-around with 2*12mm double bottom. glass type is float glass. there will be top and bottom eurobraced.
is this glass thickness compatible with the dimensions mentioned above.if so what is the safety factor of my tank?
thanks

Thats a big glass tank. I would use 3/4" on the sides if you could acquire it. Any tank that long and over 30" tall will require the thickest glass you can find.

I cant comment too much on the double bottom panel situation. Are you going to use an interlayer of some kind?

I have a 120” by 36” x 36” all glass tank that’s all made from 15mm float glass and euro braced it’s been going strong for a decade before I purchased it. My previous tank before that was 120” x 40” x 24” that was 15mm base and 12mm sides eironbraced and that was bullet proof over a decade old. I believe your thickness will be more then adequate. Large glass tanks are common in Australia due to acrylic being insanely expensive.
