I was wondering about the thickness needed. I was thinking a 7x3x.5 for a viewing window. But was wondering if I needed to go thicker, it is going to be 7x7x3 high.

Please put opinions

im building a tank myself 8x8x4 and my window is 7ft x 44 inch. i am going to use 25mm acrylic . what our you going to use glass/ acrylic

"I was wondering because on my 500g piece of furniture he uses .5 I believe"

Yeah thats what he wrote, he is more of a craftsmen than a DIYer tho...

To above I will he building this with the help of a former craftsmen. Also the top brace will be built out of angle iron with steel sheet. But I think I'm convinced to use 3/4 glass

Even with bracing, you should use no less that 3/4" glass.
