I don't understand? you say you will be using 3/8 after thinking of 1/4 or 1/8 I don't see a question...

you better help us out on this one, you weren't going to line the plywood with glass, were you? :screwy:

Perhaps line the tank with fiberglass, resin or epoxy, but not glass..

Need help on thickness for the window tru http://www.garf.org/

ok well baskicly i making a glass tank then puting a ply wood frame around it and bracing it. the ply wood would support it eough where i could use very thin glas i saw this some where eles too. the fron't panel will 3/8. what should the other panels be 1/4,1/8.

not a good plan, useing acrylic for this is ok, but not glass, nomatter how braced it will be the plywood will deform and stress the glss it being so thin it might break.

But if you want to do it all the power to you, use 1/4 for the walls and floor, and 3/8 for the face. i was thinking about doing the same thing, but decided against it. in my honest opinion...

If you cant make it bullit proof then dont make it. there is no sense in making a tank that might leak, or might break. the mights and maybeys will always be in the back of your mind...

It seems like for the time and expense you put into the plywood you could buy thick glass all around...
