glass thickness

200g plywood/epoxy build nearly done. I have 3 openings across the front for glass that each measure 14" wide by 24" high. The bottom of the glass will be subjected to depth of 30"

From what I can find for calculators, 9mm thick should be plenty. Anyone have better knowledge ?

If the bottom of your glass will be 30" deep. I would go a minimum of 12mm or 15mm. Really the deepest you should go with 12mm is about 28".

id go at least 19mm thats what is a min for my tanks i build

After a lot more research, calculations and contacting experts, I went with 3/8" which is about 9.5mm. I assume that 19 above is a typo! I guess a year from now we'll see!

I should correct my first statement; the bottom of the glass is at 27". It has been full of water for about a week and all is well.
