Anyone know of a product that tints the glass of aquariums, so the fish won't see you but you can see the fish?

I have RB piranhas that i am trying to breed but are in a high traffic area.

please give suggestions

im not sure about tinting the glass, but someone probely makes what your looking for. you could always try planting the around the inside of the glass with tall plants or something like that.

Giant tea cozy, or move the tank, or use regular window tinting like it were a background. do a solid (regular background)on the sides and back, and for the effect you mentioned I would get the darkest limo tint you can find, don't put it on permanently just tape it snugg on the front.......

If your breeding just tape newspaper on the front of the aquarium for privacy. you can always glance at the fish through the top or through a small hole in the paper. It's only for a short time after all. One way mirror material would work but the problem is that it would have to be on the INSIDE of the glass.

if you can keep the room dark and the tank lights on, the fish don't see too well outside the tank.

have you tried mirrored automotive tint? I think the only problem with that is that they would see themselves.

That's true. If I turn all my lights off and leave the light on in my betta tank he tries to attack his reflection repeatedly.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if they'd be happy seeing nothing but their reflections.
