they have these nice tanks, such as a 100g wide that measures 72x24x13. i was wondering if this could be a suitable tank for a dorado or pbass for a while. my only concern is the 13 inch height. now i like to keep my fish in tanks that are more then large enough for them, but would this work for fish like these who put most of their size on in length and not height?

im just unsure of how much height fish like these need?

the pbass could live for a while in that tank. but i would suggest getting a tank at least 3' wide and 20" tall. the height doesnt matter as much as the width but 13" is a little small. that tank would be nice for a ray.

L-W-H 24" and he said 100 gal wide. 13 " tall seems like a really low ceiling. Hieght does not mean much (especially when copared to the value of width) but 13" is so short.

Edit: I think I read your post wrong....

i was saying that if i had to choose between a tank that was 36in wide and 18in tall and a 18in wide and a 36in tall i would get the wider one. just cause wider is usually better. and yes 13" is a low ceiling thats why i said it would be good for a young ray, cause they dont need much hight

Yeah....I read it as 13" being the width at first, and then realized you did not mean that :)

i go with wider becase it can fit a longer fish.
