i have one female goarami that layed eggs, i do not think they are fertile because there is no male...lol

but i am going to go get a male and try this. the eggs are in my 10 gallon grow out, they were on the glass were there was no water because of evaperation, doin the water change today i noticed the eggs...

when i get the male do i want there to be a little room at the top of the tank with no water so they can lay eggs there or can they lay the eggs under water?

I've been wanting to breed Three Spot's for feeders for a while, so from what I've heard...

They breathe air from above the water like Bettas, and they build bubble nests like Bettas. They say keep water level around 6" and make sure there isn't too much surface current/turbulence so as not to harass the bubble nest. Keep some floating plants as well as thick plants for the female to hide in, plastic will work fine. After the nest is made and the eggs are laid and fertilized, removing the female is highly advised. They can spawn 100-200 eggs at a time, usually several times in 4-5 hours. The eggs hatch ~30h and once they are free swimming it is a good idea to remove the male.

I hear the fry are hard to feed because they are smaller than most cichlid fry, so they recommend live Brine Shrimp. I've never tried my self but I'm hoping extremely fine-ground flakes will work.

Someone will correct whatever I missed eventually, keep us updated & good luck.
