anyone have any experience with keeping Bicolour goatfish? any info would be nice (behavior, how frequently should be fed, tank size, etc....) and also will they eat crustations such as emerald crabs or ornamental shrimp?

ive read that they need 55g (which is what im looking at getting) and they will sift the sand for small crustations, i am also looking at getting a goby and pistol shimp pair and/or a jawfish would he likely eat thse bottom dwellers as well?

i owuld think they'd eat the smaller durrowing fish and will definately eat crustaceans.

at work we feed them 1 time a day and skip 2 days a week, they seem fine

i would look more at a 75-125 than a 55, they are pretty active..

sure..

any type of sleeper goby banded, yellow head, striped, railway, etc
well all gobies/dartfish/jawfish will burrow and keep the gravel mixed..

there are wrasses that'll kinda help a little as they burow under the sand at night.. but they'll eat just as many inverts as the goat will

not to mention the snails, crabs, and other stuff that burrows

if at all possible get a pair.. their interactions are much more interesting than a solo fish
