Can anyone help me ID these fish?
I purchased two of them from an LFS a few months ago, I asked for Knight Gobies and this is what they sold me. I'm pretty sure they are not Knight Gobies, the problem is I can't seem to find any pics online that look even remotely like them. They are both about 4", eating almost everything they can get and growing fast. They are being kept in a FW 54 gallon planted corner tank with 3 Mekong Puffers, which explains the ragged tails. The female also had her lips and nose bit off, but this seems to be healing. It doesn't seem to bother them much as they are laying eggs on the front glass of the tank and she guards them ferociously from the male and the puffers. She has spawned twice now, the second time the same day the babies became free-swimming. I haven't seen the fry yet, I'm hoping they headed straight for the plants to hide and feed. I plan to move them to a planted 20 gallon of their own as soon as I can.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Jeff
