OK so 1 I have to admit that I am not a fish master as most of you are. So here is my bone head mistake. I bought a pair of Bachardi Cichlids in hope of breeding the pair. I placed them in a 55 gallon tank and sure enough 1 month after buying them they had kids. Yeah right? The challeng then came when I had to capture the babies to seperate the babies from the parents which, I learned later that you don't have to do. I could only capture a few maybe 10. So now that I have the babies....now what? I then find out you must raise brine shrimp to feed them you also need to feed them 3 x a day and clean up after them after each meal. If I wanted this much trouble I would have had another child
. So through further consultation I learn that if you have the parents in with the babies you will not have to do as much work. So basicaly I have now a seperate tank, no gravel with the parents and now 5 or 6 babies
. So in short to any nubies that would like to raise fish get your game plan together 1st then breed. You might be able to save more of the babies. I feel like an idiot by the way. Thanks! I am soooo glad that my 1st entry is here. NOT!
