I couldn't find any past threads in a search so i figured i would ask. I'm going away for spring break and would prefer to not have to make arrangements to set my 2 sens up at home. So...i will be gone 7 days in total. Normally i am not concerned with feeding over that amount of time but this is the first time i've had poly's in this situation. Suggestions or feedback? Thanks!

stuff them and do a water change before you leave polypterus can go a week with no food eazy the bigger they are the longer they can go with out food young polys under 4'' should be feed more often but they to could most likely survive a week of no food

a healthy fish can survive at least a month without food. just feed the regular amount of food you give them the day before you leave. don't overfeed them cause that can potentially cause your ammonia to spike and that's bad especially if you're not around to fix it.

Open door walk out have a great time they will be fine as mentioned a well cared for poly
can go about a month without eating by living off reserves they build up.Remember in the wild meals can be some time apart-Anne

Awesome...thanks for the input. I've been feeding regularly, and plan on a few water changes this week so it should be fine then.

you should buy one of those auto feeders if you feed them drie food and if you dont then make an except
