Im going to do it. For sometime now I wanted to go Dovii and just kept telling myself no. But thats it... Im pretty much gotten rid of all my previous stock (except for my viejas). I have been pretty successful with the jags, rtm, and briefly with the loisellei.

I have gotten fry from 2 different sources and hopefully a third will happen this weekend. My plans for now is to grow them out until sex can be ID, then pick the top 2-3 from each batch. If all goes right put them together and start the process of elmination over again picking out the top 2 males and alpha female or 1 alpha male and a pair.

With all the "BOMB" looking dovii's I've seen here just wondering if anyone had anything to add or that may help out? Trust me there is alot of info here much adding to my expierence in cichlids now.

you getting any wild juvies?? they have the best colouration by far IMO

cool cool, gl dawg!!
i hope you like them, been trying to find some myself lately, but no such luck.:(

Im trading out my RTM for fry hopefully this Friday I forgot to to ask that.

Join the club. :D I've got a juvi dovi, dad was f0. Hopefully it turns out to be a little boy. I been feeding NLS growth to mine, works great so far. Be prepared for a lot of casualties though. XP They hate each other.

Right now they are doing fine. 11 fry-40g, 6 fry-30g and I got a 75g cycling now. feeding a combo of frozen bloodworms, spirulina, and hikari gold on two day WC at 25%. Largest is about 2.5" smallest being .5" and holding down its own lil spot in corner.
