Going threw old pics. The og's should remember this beast

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thought it turned out to only be 30" once bought and grew to 32" before being sold...

Still at 32 it's still a beast. I just remember when I took that pick how massive and agro that fish was. A smile only a mother could love lol

Anyone have an update on it?

I know when SA was closing they sold a massive aimara that needed a cooler to transport it. Not sure if it was this one or different one.

That's a fact lol, still one of the biggest to be brought in, I think it's the biggest to be brought into the U.S.

Anyone actually grown one more than 30in? With these becoming more available I thought I would see something but have not. Just see lots of pics/vids of ones around 24in.

From small not yet. A lot of people are reporting slower growth rates now that they're being kept with tankmates actually.. Seems to correlate though no research has really been done on that. But I don't think anyone has grown a small one to 30" yet, I don't feel anyone has kept them long enough

I guess people get bored after time and sell them. There has to be some out there. I find it hard to believe that all of them eventually die that quickly.

Same scenario has piranha I guess, most people get them, keep them several years and then get rid of them.
