I have a 90 gallon reef, stock includes:

2 clowns
1 blue tang
1 goby
1 blenny
1 flame hawkfish
2 chromis'
afew crabs and a lobster.

Corals are:

2 leathers
1 shroom
1 stony
1 zoo

What should i do to keep my tank safe for a week with no supervision? light timer is obvious and i should get one anyways, but theres no one i know, or anyone in the family that has knowledge about marine life to take care of it for me.

Whats the best kind of auto feeders and other gadgets to take care for my stuff for a week?

Hire a tank maintenance company while you're gone. It's cheap insurance!

Great Idea or get a trusted aquarist to watch over or a family member with experience in feeding your tank. Or have them come over prior and watch how you prepare food and feed a couple time's write down in detail what you do as well as show them and you can have a free aquarium babysitter. My father is my babysitter all i do in return is buy him a case of beer or a guitar or something he like's.

do a big water change and leave the salinity just a little lower than normal.. that'll give you an extra day in the "good zone" for salinity

i usually don't feed, or if i go away for more that a week i have my neighbors or grandparents give ONE cube of frozen food every other day

the things like the lionfish and eel i don't even bother explaining, i just tell em to leave them be

problem is, it's a family reunion in minnesota, so all my family members will be up there aswell XD.

These fish will be fine without food for a week? So if i feed them the day i leave, it should be good right?

i think maybe feed the hawk pretty well before hand and maybe throw in some nori or other algae and the rest should be fine foraging

The tanks been up since christmas, but ya, i think they have enough to forage in there for a week.

Hell, that lobster lived off foraging for the longest time. i had thought he died because he never took my food, and i never saw him. so i stoped putting food at the cave entrances for him. Then, afew MONTHS after i see his claw in the back. guess that explains the diminishing numbers of hermit crabs.

Everyone survived, light timer worked like a charm. I even got a new red mushroom and some coraline growth out of it.

hells yes!
way to go
