For the past 6 months, We've been struggling to keep him well. We have done alright up until the past 2 weeks. Recently, he has been laying on his side and barely breathing. No other fish bothers him, but he hunches over the same rock all day, for the past 14 days. He acts interested in food, but when he swims he has a permanent curve in his body, and when feeding is over, he goes back to his rock to lay like he is trying to die.

Tomorrow my clove oil comes in and I'm going to kill him. It's the hardest thing for me to do. It's almost like putting my dog down. I love this fish, but I don't think I can watch him suffer anymore.

It's going to be a sad day in the rallyhouse:(

Sorry about your future loss. :( But atleast it's for his own good, and he had a good life under your care, I'm sure.

How large and old is your jag? That's very sad that you have to put it down. I've used clove oil as an anaesthetic, but I've been told a stronger dose puts them down humanely.

Sorry to hear about your Jag. He is beautiful. I guess it is for the best.

shame to see one of the best looking jags i've ever seen go away:(

is that the jag with the amazing picture all over mfk i feel for you man and i am so sorry he will be missed

If you haven't seen rallys jag you really haven't lived. This fish is AMAZING. One of the best ever kept along with Mojo's and Ron Morse. These are the Three top Jags ever to go in home Aquaria!

Ron's is getting old now too, it's like 15 and a half now.
