I'm going to start on a new stand today. The new stand will be for a custom 40 gallon tank. Tank measures 3' x 18" x 16". This is a dual stand, with a second tank sitting on the bottom. I live in a tiny studio, so tools are limited to a handsaw, drill, and my own two hands. This is my second build in this tiny place. This will be a very simple stand. I have two goals in mind. First, it will be very, very simple. There will be no skin, just a basic structure. I'm choosing function over beauty. Second, it will be holding two tanks. I may put in a shelf right above the bottom tank, still thinking on it. I'm clearing out room under my other stand. I will be putting another tank underneath that one. That tank will be 4' x 22" x 17". That's the whole reason I'm building another dual stand.
