I'm going to try and trigger them to spawn. I believe I have a make and female. What I believe is the female is moving substrate and what appears to be nesting activity. They are 3 years old so should be sexually mature.
My plan is to do a 50% water change then 2 days later do another 50% water change. Should I feed before I do this or after? Once water changes are done I'm going to sit a clay flower pot plate on the bottom where the female has been digging. Any other tips or info?

Sounds like your set, but u should have some live food on hand for the fry
What should i feed the fry?
Also should i drop the temp a few degrees. From what ive gathered the idea is to make the bass think the rainy season has begun as that is when they spawn and the water changes and slightly cooler water simulate that.

I've never raised peacock bass fry but I would have first bites, powdered high protein flake food and baby brine shrimp on hand, I would remove any tankmates who aren't parents and let the fry grow a little before switching them to a different tank.

Attempt wasn't a success. Right when I started this the female got white flesh wounds all over here. did 4 water changes in 6 days. Female cleared up after the first WC. I started feeding them fresh tilapia fillets and by the end I think they were in good shape to make another attempt as they got really frisky and dark in color. Maybe ill try again some other time.
