I have had mine since he was 2 inches. I'm guessing this is one of Rapps gold barred F1... so a brother of mine.

Does he ever bar up?

Yes F1 from Rapps... All of us that have them are in laws lol... He does Bar up at the siphon during water changes when he goes into attack mode.... Will get a picture next time ......

Sweet. Nice to see what mine will grow into although he looks l8ke that now as it’s hard to visualize his size with pics. These big cichlids get so much better as they age. With limited tanks (2) I get impatient waiting sometimes.
