Gold/black Royal

I asked this on another forum but I'll ask here, too, in the hopes that someone (Wingate?) will know. At the LFS today they had a 2" Royal Panaque but his stripes were gold & black instead of the usual gray or green & black. He did have the red eyes. I want him so bad and am kicking myself right now for not getting him.
Is he just a variation of the L190? Anyone know?
 
He wasn't an L191. His gold color was like the 1st pic (L190) but his lines were thinner and a heck of a lot closer together. Dang, I shoulda' got him either way. I've got 2 L191's, their lines seem thick and farther apart also (plus they don't have red eyes).
 
Hell, Royal Id's stump me quite often. I have a royal that I'm not sure of proper ID on. He has a spotted stomach and fins like a watermelon, but a striped body like a L-190. In other words: You know more about panaques than I probably do.lol
 
I went back and got the little guy today (you knew I would, didn't you??) :)
I'd dearly love to have a Watermelon, too. I flat don't know where I'd put one right now but who knows about the future....
Here's the little one I went back and got today, I posted it on a plec forum but I'll post it here, too. He's 3" counting his 1 1/2" tail lol
Someone on the Plec board (who knows plecs real well) thought he was L190 and I think so, too. He's just lighter colored, maybe stressed.

its nice.. more white than usual.... i would def get more.. but.. trying to make room for a giant pleco... we'll see..

thanks for the pictures.. and Watermelon pleco are nice too.. but i would def get my hands on the Green Royal pleco... L-191 or 192
 
Its L190, the pale colour is from stress or if you're lucky it will stick.

At zerojquan85, L192 is a Hypostomus sp. not a royal.

The little one I got y-day is real active, seems relieved to have wood again (no wood at the LFS) and got right on the zucchini last night. He's a keeper and I'm so glad I went back and got him! Thanks to everyone who answered in this thread :)
zerojquan85, I love my L191's, too. My biggest one (my 1st Royal) is my favorite, the Plec tank was for him. He's got a different kind of pattern. My smaller L191 has stripes real far apart but my biggest one has like dots and blotches. I finally got an updated pic of him last night:
