I imported these a while back, and I could find very little information about them. They are a pim of some sort, but I could be wrong. I got a nice picture of one, but this is 1 of the 3 pictures I have found on the internet.

Anyone kept them? Know how big they get? Aggresion?

I think this could possibly be a great MFK type fish that is VERY overlooked!

Heres a few more shots.. Very interesting cat.. high DOA rate, maybe that is why we don't see them?

Ineresting...Looks like a mix between a pictus cat and a shovelnose of some sort. Are they predatory? they look like they have large enough mouths to do some damage. I definitely agree they might be a great monster species to keep...I'll have to keep an eye out for them and maybe see if my store can get a few.

This catfish belongs to genus Megalonema, but they are also sold as Piramutana pitramuta. They are from Peru, not aggressiv at all, easy to hold in a group, grow very slow and should not become larger than 12". A nice predator catfish for smaller basins.
