IN A PLACE
In my 480g, my 16" gold clown knife just snapped after I introduced 2 new fish to the tank. He was living with a 30" silver aro, 8" super red sevrum, 12" niger cat, and a 10" fly river turtle. No problems ever. Then, I put in a 12" peacock bass and 10" Red tail gourami. He immediately started the chasing the new guys around, then began nipping at everyone else in the tank. So, I put him in my tougher tank--a 375g with 2 large jack dempseys, a 10" flagtail, 30" niger cat, and 14" datnoid. he chilled for about a day in there and then started the same stuff with the flagtail and even got some licks in on the bigger jack dempsey. I put him back in the 480g which was a terrible idea. All hell breaks loose and the frt...who has never nipped in 2 years, bites the pbass. So I put the clown knife in a 110g with my razorback musk turtles who have a reputation for biting fish themselves. The 480g seems to be calm again but the frt has been more active than usual.

Can anyone explain this for me? Is there any way to get him back to being mellow or is he destined to live out his life alone?

It was bound to happen eventually. Ck's are territorial so introducing the new fish might've sparked its natural instincts. You might have to keep it just with bigger fish than it cuz it seems like its only picking on your little guys. I have no idea if it will ever calm down again though. Good luck man
