Milky Way Galaxy,
My golfish in my pond(to cycle it) just are chillin at the bottom I had 9but the week ones died(I think cuz I just dumped them in). Is this normal? There eating and rest for 5min then swim for 5min and so on so4th.

Scoop out the dead fish and examine them. You'll get a lot of clues from the bodies. Check for gill redness, bloating, dropsical scales, eye protrusion, even milk the gut to see if parasites ooze out. Better to cut them open, but study the anatomy for a few minutes first so you know what you're looking at.

You say "to cycle it (pond)". I'm guessing they could be suffering from ammonia toxicity? How big is your pond/tank?

If water parameters are fine, and they are eating, then I would guess they are ok. Keep an eye on em.

The pond is 1,800gallons. When I took them out nothing was wrong with them you kno how you get feeders and the weekones die off it sorts looks like that am
going to go do some water checks just in Case

So the feeders were sick and weak and you bought them for your pond? Why would you put diseases into your pond?

I didn't mean to lol I wouldt want diseases in my pond. When I went to my LFS to go pick them up he JUST got the shipment in so am
guessing Thats a reason. And I don't thnk there are not any diseases anyway

Only got one a hold of one fish cut him open (a dead one) no parasites only thing I find in the pond are leaves and these little brown long leaf like thin I thinks it's a leaf not a parasite cuz it doest move and when you rip it, it feels like your ripping a leave , still have 5golds and going strong testing the water at about 5:00

Probably a spike in Ammonia.........Goldfish should be able to live through this...That long leafy thing can just be the center vein of the leaf itself........
