Where do the Thorichthys Mixtecos' get their name from? This is my 3" female Gold from Rapps. I thought the Spangles would be gold, but they are blueish. Fins are kinda gold though.

This is just a guess, but I think it's that light base coloration. The blue mexitecos I've seen are a much darker base color.
OK. So the name comes from the body color. That makes sense.
There are Gold, Blue, and Green?
This girl was actually not growing for quite some time. She was heavilly dominated by a 5" female Elliotti. Since the Elliotti has been removed, she is growing and coloring up.

Yes, there are gold, green, and blue.
I recently came across a thread elsewhere that described the differances. Blue's have a red face with blue spotting. Greens have parrallel rows of green spots on the bodies, and golds get a bright gold patch on their cheeks.
