I heard that there are different type of "Gold Nugget" Plecos and they all very in size, but I do think that they need bigger than a 10g.

Yes thats true, some of them only get to 7" long. One of those is probably fine to at least start out in a 10gal. But long term any of them will outgrow it.

So my answer is Yes, as long as it's a grow out tank only.

quarantine only (2-3 weeks). A GN is a grazer and you can't feed it enough AND keep the water parameters clean enough for the fish to be happy in a tank that size.

nope too small.. they do grow VERY VERY slowly though, some i've had for 2 years I havent noticed any grown on at all.
