hey laoro u want a the biggest goldy u got. Do u know if you will be in the San Gabriel vally any time soon?
 
those don't look like gold nuggets. they look more like
L273, L14,. Better pic might help

yes they are definately S. aureatus, not the Baryancistrus sp.
Personally i prefer these, they do better in aquarium IMO.
 
Damn i'd sure love some of those Hypancistrus. You can never tell what they are though, almost impossible to distinguish between L400s, L287 etc etc as they are all so variable and not much known about them. Beautiful fish though.

Thanks for the note.
They were labeled as L236 and that's the reason why I paid $105.00 each.
I found out later on that they were L400s.
As far as I've known, I may be the only few pleco hobbyist in the US who have bred this kind. :)

I've sold/trade my true L287 colony of six for five F1s Zebra L046 from a pleco breeder in Texas.
They are almost at their breeding sizes now. :)
