Venes average around 18", can get to 24". Plan on a 125 gal for this guy. Sevs are great with pikes, as are GT, and many species of catfish too. Mostly plecos cause of their armor, but others do fine too. I am sure silver dollars would be good dithers. A large Clown loach of like 6"+ could be. Leprinos. Alot of fish would be good, but a pair of pike would be best, goodluck with that though. Growth rate is the fastest I have seen in a fish as well, my Johanna has grwon about 5 inches in about 3 months.

Very nice pike!! I hate it when venezuela have the spots on their head though, makes them look so similar to lenticulata or marmorata...so it makes me second guess!! But they lack the saddles, so that helps a lot....;). Gonna be a keeper, you'll have much fun and enjoyment out it. Get some dithers, like giant danios, they are fast, are large, and won't get eaten for a while anyway...haha. Plus it will help the pike feel more comfy and be out in the open more...;) I like to keep my pikes with other active cichlids, like firemouths, severums, and other cichlids that are always out and moving around. It makes the pikes feel more comfortable...;)
