Hello all, a week ago my juvenile Gold Saum stopped eating and started breathing heavily, I added an air stone to the tank to see if oxygen levels were the issue on the first day, but I have seen no change, I have also been doing a 10-25% water change every 2 days with no change in behavior.
He still attacks food like he wants to eat it, but spits it back out after trying to chew it, I feed him NLS with the occasional blood worms, up until this point he accepted it without issue.
All I can think that might of happened is he has something stuck in his throat, or he has a problem with his gills. If anyone has any helpful info, i would appreciate it.

Tank is 200L (50Gal)
Tank Parameters are as follows:
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
The tank IS cycled, but there are too many plants in the tank for the nitrate to show up.
I do dose the tank with Flourish, Flourish excel, and Flourish Iron. Since the strange behavior showed up, I have stopped dosing to see if that was the issue, by the looks of it, its not.

Temp is 26*c
Filters are 2x eheim 2217

here is a picture of the tank

Treat the fish for internal parasites, I'm not familiar with what meds are available in Oz so a general IP med should help.

Well he is back to normal and eating like a champ, no meds needed. I guess he did have something stuck in his throat. :D
Thanks for the input though Aquanero :)
