Cleveland, Oh.
Alright i have 2 gold saum 6-7" one in a75g and the other in a 180g, their going on a year old. Here recently the one in the 180 has been refusing to eat. he wants to it will take a piece of pellet and then spit it back out. this has been going on for about 2 wks. So i tried some brine shrimp to see what would happen. He ate with no problems. i use new life spectrum thera +A mostly and mix in omega one cichlid pellet and shrimp. I see that this happens quite frequently with the gold saum why is that. Also what can i do to get him to eat, he is the prettiest of the two.

I hate picky fish. They don't eat. They don't grow. So annoying.

Try the usual soaking in garlic or other juices. Then there are worms, even the pickiest fish usually can't resist. Also market shrimp, tilapia or frozen foods. You can make your own frozen blend to save money. :)
