Gold scaled Clown Knife

So I was feeding my CK today... but suddenly I see what I think was a parasite. When I leaned in closer I saw that it was gold scales.

Is this a great discovery, or am I crazy?

Could just be gold scales for sure. Velvet is also known to appear as "gold dust" sometimes, but thats not what that looks like. Keep an eye on it and make sure it doesnt start to spread.

Looks like it just knocked off a few scales. Possibly some scarring.

^ maybe, but when he turns he shines like gold... but only the top few line of scales. From different angles, you can see different gold scales. Any other ideas or comments?

And no it's not velvet. I had it before and it's not the same.
