You'll get 1/2"-1" a month up to around 7" depending on all the variables such was water condition, diet, tank mates, etc.

Great , water condiction is good , he is fed on flaked food peltes and blood worm and with no tank mates .

Up the temp to about 28c and power fed him. Feed on the hour and do huge water changes. I've used all kinds of vegetables and **** loads of finely chopped prawns to get mine upto size. Works a treat but you shouldn't keep the water that hot forever and when you come to cooling it down remember to reduce the temp by 1c every 2 hours max...

It took 6 months for mine to reach 6 inches from 1.5 inch.

my 2 gold sevs went from about 1 inch to 6 inches in 7 months...I just recently got rid of them bc of aggression issues but they were eating massivore pellets, frozen shrimp, and live trout worms.

Cool thanks for the help , i am doing a 10% ish water change twice a week feeding him on pellets , flakes , frozen Bloodworm , frozen Tubifex, today i gave him a small prawn and it went in secends , so hopfully in about 5/ 6 months he's going to be a good size . The temperture is about 26/ 7C .

How big should he be when i put him in the main tank with the others ? The biggest fish un there is about 9inch and the smallest is 5inch .
