Gold Severum please help

Hi,
So recently I bought a gold Severum from a lfs and when he got here he had this white spot on his fin and so I thought it was ich so therefore I treated the tank for ich. As time went on it never fell off however it didn't spread so i don't know if it is ich it's still there now and I have some very as pictures because he doesn't like to stay still. It's only on his fin and hasn't moved please tell me what it is because it is worrying me. It looks external and like something is stuck to his fin

I have dealt with this issue on many of my severums and seen them on a lot of other people's sevs. The first time I saw this, I did the same thing you did and treated for ich. To the best I my knowledge, they are something akin to scar tissue. Not harmful, just doesn't look good. Don't worry about it.
