gold severum price

I called the local petco to order a gold severum to replace the one I recently lost. When I asked the price she informed me that it would be $26.50. I almost dropped the phone, lol. She said the only size she could get was a large one, when I asked how big it was she couldn't tell me. Regardless of the size do you think this price is unreasonable? I guess I'm a cheap....lol

I paid $25 for mine. (Canadian, but the American dollar is even right now) and it's 3"

Rip off price IMO. For $30 you can go get a red severum. Gold severums are available at LFS for around $5-8.

One of the local mom and pop places here a couple days ago had small ~1-2" golds for 5.49 they had one larger one that I would guess was about 6" for 19.99

I think it 100% depends on the size, and you should definitely know the size before purchasing at that price. Fish size, at least around me, effects the price greatly. I can get 1.5-2.5" jacks around me for $3, but once the hit 3"-4" they are $8-10, I saw a Jack that was only about 4.5" at my LFS that was $20.

Yep Golds average around £3.99 here, Greens £1.99, Red Spotted £8.99, Rotkeils,Notatus, Appendiculatus £9.99, all are very common around here in England (every shop has them)

The Petco i used to work for consider 2-3" "large" its probably a rip off!!
